Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace

May 19, 1999 - After sixteen years of waiting I settled into my seat and at 12:14am, the trailers started. I got a knot in my stomach. What if the movie sucks, and I waited in line for three hours for these tickets? After exactly six minutes of trailers the movie started. The knot in my stomach had grown. No worries, George Lucas, the cast and crew did not let me down. The Phantom Menace is a fast paced, two hour thrill ride. Frankly when I saw the movie I though the critics that gave it poor reviews hadn't watched the same movie I had. In order to dispel some common rumors I created a chart. To sum up, go see the movie it is AWESOME!

P.S. I have now seen the movie three times and I will go back again.

The Critics Said...	Rob D Said...
The acting was bad.	The acting was good.
The graphics were overwhelming.	The graphics are incredible, but believable. You forget that the graphics are not real.
Jar Jar Binks was annoying.	Jar Jar's voice could at times be annoying, but overall he was very funny.
There was no plot.	I seem to remember the critics saying this about *Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back* and *Return of the Jedi*.
It's not worth waiting in line for.	After seeing the movie I would wait longer than 3 hours.
